About Me
I'm a master's student in Computer Science at Columbia University (Graduating December 2025). Before this, I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo (Graduated 2024). I built this site to share a bit about myself and the things I love.
Like all humans, I love to be excited. And to me, there's nothing more exciting than the superpowers computers have given us. I can tap a glass rectangle filled with silicon carvings, and —boom— I’m watching people tumble down a hill chasing a wheel of cheese at the Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake. Honestly, if that’s not magic, I don’t know what is.
Beliefs I hold dear:
- 💡I am the product of my experiences. So I should curate them carefully.
- 🤔It's vital to know why you believe what you believe.
- 🔬At every single moment, I am wrong about something. And that's exciting!
- 🌍There is something to learn from everybody on the planet.
- ❓There are more unanswered questions than answered ones.
Ideas I find interesting:
- 🌀Ideological Freedom is incredibly rare and incredibly valuable.
- 🌱Ideas grow and evolve like organisms. They have replication mechanisms, immune systems, and they compete for dominance in our shared consciousness.
- 🐔The Factory Farmed Chickens on the planet - all 23 billion of them - are living in the matrix.
Stuff that makes me happy:
- ⚽Play & watch soccer! (or ping pong, or basketball or pickleball, or literally any other sport)
- 🎧Podcasts! My favorites include: Sean Carroll's Mindscape, Acquired, 99% Invisible, Against the Rules, and Hidden Brain.
- 🛠️Learning about how and why things work (Technologies, Institutions, Soccer tactics etc.)
- 📹Youtube!! Some channels I love are: Polylog, Wendover Productions, 3Blue1Brown, Asianometry, and PBS Space Time.
- 📚Books! Recently I've enjoyed: Making Sense of Chaos,The Power Broker, Stormlight Archives, Stolen Focus, Crescent City Series, The Ideological Brain, and Deep Work.
